Beer Bread * Beer Lover's Day

3 C  flour
2 t baking powder
1 t   Salt
1/4 C   Sugar
1 can beer   (12 ounces)
1/4 C  melted Butter
1/2 C Raisins

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Mix dry ingredients and beer.
  3. Pour into a greased loaf pan.
  4. Pour melted butter over mixture.
  5. Bake 1 hour, remove from pan and cool for at least 15 minutes.

  1. *I like to use local beer and match it with fruit for texture. This recipe can also be made in a breadmaker if you like. It will make a  thick crusted bread,   Lisa
