Holiday Cookie Time :
- 1 C Butter (2 sticks)
- 1 C Confections Sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 C AP flour
Use good butter - since its important part of this Cookie .
In a medium-sized bowl, beat together the butter, sugar, vanilla, and almond extract, then beat in the flour. The mixture may seem a little dry at first; keep beating till it comes together. If it absolutely won't come together, dribble in up to 1 tablespoon of water, until it does. This is a stiff dough
Drop the dough by teaspoonfuls onto a lightly greased or parchment-lined baking sheet. Flatten each ball of dough to about 3/8" thick; use the bottom of a drinking glass, the tines of a fork, a cookie stamp, or whatever implement you think will make a pretty pattern. Bake the cookies for about 25 minutes in a preheated 300°F oven, until they're set but not really beginning to brown. Remove them from the oven, and cool on the pans, or on a rack. Yield: about 4 dozen small

Soup On !!!
- 6 C water
- 3 lb stew meat
- 1 pkg shredded cabbage
- 1 large Can V-8
- 2 pkg frozen mixed vegetables
- 2 can of potatoes
- 1 can stewed tomatoes
in a pot add water.meat and cabbage ,V8 - and Cook to Boil . Reduce to Simmer and Cook 1 hour. Add vegetables,potatoes and tomatoes and cook another 30 minutes. Check for seasoning.

French Toast Day !!!
- 4 slices of regular Bread
- 1 Egg
- 1/4 C Milk
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
Beat Egg ,vanilla and Cinnamon add milk into a shallow dish. Place bread inside mixture and let soak on both sides. Heat up a griddle and brown on both sides. Serve with syrup and powder sugar.

Homemade Beef Jerky
- 2 lb beef pounded then and cut in slices
- 1/4 C Soy Sauce
- 2 T Worcestershire sauce
- 2 T brown sugar
- 2 T liquid smoke
- 1 tsp meat tenderizer
- salt ,pepper,garlic,onion powder
Prepare the beef. And Mix together the marinated . Cover and let sit in refrigerator for 6-8 hours. Then place in dehydrator - at least 4 hours but my take longer until done.

Turkey Leftover Soup
- Chicken stock (3 cans)
- chopped 1/2 onion
- chopped 3 carrots
- chopped 2 stalks celery
- 1 C water}
- 1 c noodles (your choice)
- 2 1/2 C Turkey
- 1/4 tsp - black pepper,salt ,thyme and garlic
In a large pot ass butter and vegetables and cook a few minutes. Add liquids and bring to Boil. Cook for about 20 minutes and Add rest of ingredients and Cook until noodles are done. ,

Pain Per Du
- 1 egg
- 1 T sugar
- 8 to 10 slices of thick bread
- 1 C milk
- 1/2 T nutmeg
Beat egg and sugar -add milk and nutmeg . Soak bread in mixture, And heat skillet with butter - and fry bread in the butter until brown and toasty. Serve with powdered sugar or syrup.

Happy Thanksgiving in the USA,
Refrigerate Homemade Rolls :
- 1 C scalded milk
- 1 C mashed potatoes
- 3/4 C shortening
- 1/2 C sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 Eggs beaten
- 1 cake yeast in lukewarm water
- flour to stiffen
Add potatoes,sugar,shortening ,salt to warm Milk. let cool. Add eggs,yeast and enough flour to stiffen. But in Refridgerater, Take out what you need in Morning -2 hours before to Raise. Bake at 425 for 10 minutes,

Cranberry Mold Salad
- 1 lg can cursed Pineapple
- 1 lg can jellied cranberry sauce
- 2 pkgs cherry Jello
- 1 large apple peeled/diced
- 3 handful pecans / chopped
Drain pineapple. Use 1 cup juice ,heat and dissolve Jello in it. Mash cranberry sauce and heat and Mix with Jello. Add the rest of ingredients and Mix. Place in a ring Mold and Chill.

Happy Peanut Butter Fudge Day !
I am sharing a recipe for Buckeye Fudge - a creamy layer of melted peanut butter -topped with Chocolate. Lisa
- 12 oz Peanut Butter chips
- 1 can Eagle brand milk
- 1/4 C margarine
- 1/2 C nuts
- 6 oz semi sweet chocolate chips
In the microwave heat peanut butter chips,milk and 2 T of butter - heat about 4 minutes. Spread in a buttered dish. Chill to set. Melt - chocolate chips and rest of milk and butter .Spread over the first layer and Chill. Cut into squares to serve.

Celebrating Play Monopoly Day !!!
- 3/4 lb shortening ( butter & margarine )
- 1 C Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 1/2 C AP flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
Mix all wet ingredients and then Add dry. Mix well and Chill for a least an hour. Roll dough out and cut into square shapes. Bake at 400 degrees until light brown . Then decorate to look like Monopoly playing cards with icing.

Happy Princess Day ! Happy Mickey Mouse Birthday -
Yellow Sponge Cake
- 4 Eggs
- 1 C sugar
- 1 C AP flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 3 T melted Butter
- 2 T hot water
- 1 T vanilla extract
Whip 4 eggs in a stand mixture and add sugar - Whisk about 15-20 minutes.
Add vanilla to eggs mixture.
Shift flour and baking powder and fold into Egg mixture. Whisk together butter and water and fold into the mixture. Pour into prepared cake pans. Bake for 30 minutes at 350. Leave out to cool.

Saturday Morning time for Breakfast !
- 1 C Un Cooked Grits
- 4 C water
- 2 Eggs beaten
- 1/2 stick butter
- 1 roll of garlic cheese
- salt & pepper
Cooked Grits according to directions. While hot add cheese,butter and eggs. Place in butter casserole dish. Bake at 400 degrees for 1 hour. Serve hot.

National Fast Food Day !
Homemade Taco Bell Mexican Pizza Recipe :
- whole wheat tortillas
- 2/3 C Shredded Cheese ( Mexican cheese blend)
- 1 C retried beans (can) heat
- 1/3 C enchilada sauce
- Diced tomatoes
- Green Onion tops
Making the Pizza : Heat the tortillas in a skillet. On a cookie sheet place hot tortillas ,re fried beans, on top and place another tortilla on top. Layer with enchilada sauce,tomatoes and cheese. Ad sprinkle with green onion tops. Bake at 400 hundred until all melted (8-10 minutes) Lisa

Sour Cream Pound Cake
- 1/2 lb Butter
- 1/2 lb cream cheese
- 2 C sugar
- 2 C AP Flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 6 Eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla
Cream butter and cream cheese. Add sugar . Shift flour and baking powder together Add alterable with Eggs, Mix well and pour in greased bunt pan. Bake at 350 for 1 hour.

National Pickle Day !
Homemade Refrigerator Pickles :
- 4 C Sugar
- 4 C vinegar
- 1/4 C salt
- 2 tsp dill seed
- 1 tsp celery seed
- 1 tsp dry mustard
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 3 cloves garlic / sliced
- 3 onions
- 8-10 cucumbers sliced thin.
Mix well and seal in jar in the refrigerate. Wait at least a week before using.

Grandma Corn Pudding !
- 5 eggs
- 1/3 C butter / melted
- 1/4 C white sugar
- 1/2 C milk
- 4 T cornstarch
- 1 can whole Corn
- 2 can Cream style Corn
- salt & pepper
Heat oven to 400 degrees. Prepare baking dish.
Beat Eggs and add all other ingredients . Pour into dish and Bake, 1 hour.

Easy French Dip !
n American cuisine, the French dip sandwich, also known as a beef dip, is a hot sandwich consisting of thinly sliced roast beef on a "French roll" or baguette. It is usually served topped with Swiss Cheese, onions, and a side of beef juice from the cooking process.
- Ho-age Bun
- thinly sliced roast beef (homemade or store)
- Slices of Swiss Cheese
- thinly sliced onion
- Beef Broth
- Salt & Pepper ,seasoning
To make dipping Sauce - heat broth & seasoning and place beef to heat.
In a skillet . saute Onions until golden brown.
In a hot Oven Toast bread- until golden brown.
Sandwich Layer - Beef,onion and top with cheese. Reserve the beef stock for dipping sandwich.

- Mason Jar with Lid
- 1/2 C rolled Oats
- 3/4 C milk (any kind)
- 1 T Honey ( Sweetener any kind)
- 1/8 tsp Cinnamon
- Fruit (Dried Or Fresh)
Leave in refrigerator Overnight and top.
- Topping - granola or Nuts

Happy Louisiana Day !
Louisiana Bread Pudding with Apples and Raisins : A classic Louisiana dessert.
- 1 loaf french bread
- 2 quarts milk
- 2 C sugar
- 1 tsp nutmeg,vanilla,cinnamon
- 6 eggs
- 1/2 box raisin
- 1/2 stick butter
- 1 apple cored and sliced
Tear french bread in bite size pieces, Place in a bowl and cover with Milk. Let sit about 10 minutes. Add rest of ingredients and Mix. Place in a baking dish and Bake at 350 for 1 hour or until done.

National Cappuccino Day !
- 1 pkg instant vanilla pudding
- 1/8 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tsp Maxwell Instant coffee
- 2 C Cold Milk
- 1 C Thawed Cool Whip
Beat pudding mix, coffee granules and milk with whisk 2 min.; pour into 5 dessert dishes.
Refrigerate at least 1 hour .
Wish Cinnamon into Cool Whip and Top.

Bittersweet Chocolate & Almond Day !
And I am sharing an easy copy of my favorite candy Almond Joy in a cookie, Lisa
- Line baking sheet with parchment . Set oven at 350.
- Mix together ingredients and drop spoonful on parchment paper.
- Wet finger and Pat down. And place Almond slice on top.
- Place in Oven and Bake 12-14 minutes or until done.
* If you want you can chop almonds and add to mixture before baking.
Let them Cool and keep in refrigerator to firm up. .

Baked Chicken Nacho's :
my son's favorite is up for National Nacho's Day !
- 1 large bag of tortilla chips
- 2 cups Cooked shredded Chicken
- 2/3 C Mexican Cheese
- 3 tomatoes
- Green onion, olives ,onions or hot peppers : anything you like.
- Garnish with Sour cream ,Salsa or anything you like
Take a large baking sheet. Spray with cooking spray -spread out chips and layer -Chips,chicken and cheese with any topping you want. Heat until Hot & melted at 350 degrees. Top with Garnishes.

Orange & Cinnamon Doughnut Holes
Made easy using can Biscuits - perfect for both National Orange & Doughnut Day!
- 1 orange /zested
- 2 C sugar
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1 Tube of Buttermilk Biscuits
- Vegetable oil for frying.
In a bowl mix zest,sugar & cinnamon. Cut the 8 biscuits into 4 pieces each.
Heat Oil - and Fry doughnut pieces (6/8 minutes) . Take out and roll in Sugar mixture. Lisa

Its National Candy Day
- 2 2/3 C Sugar
- 2/3 C Karo (white corn syrup)
- 1/2 C Water
- 2 Egg Whites only
- 1 tsp vanilla
- Nuts chopped fine
In a saucepan over Low heat dissolve the sugar, water and Karo syrup. Cook until 200 degrees (soft ball) . take off stove . Beat eggs white until fluffy and Add to syrup mixture .Add vanilla and the nuts. Butter a Spoon and drop of spoonful on wax paper to Cool and set up.

Cranberry & Orange Scones
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup sweetened dried cranberries
1/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon freshly grated orange zest
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup cold Butter
1/4 cup sour cream
1 Eggs slightly beaten
3 tablespoons milk
- Heat oven to 375°F.
- Combine flour, cranberries, sugar, orange peel, baking powder, baking soda and salt in large bowl; cut in 1/4 cup butter with pastry blender or fork until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Combine sour cream, egg and milk in small bowl. Stir into flour mixture just until moistened. Turn dough onto lightly floured surface; knead 5 to 8 times until smooth.
- Pat dough to 7-inch circle on greased baking sheet. Score into 6 wedges; do not separate. Bake 18-25 minutes or until lightly browned. Serve warm with butter.

Deviled Eggs * Southern Tradition :
- 6 eggs (boiled)
- 3 T Mayonnaise (Blue Plate /Helsman)
- 1 1/2 T sweet pickle relish
- dash of hot sauce
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- Creole seasoning,salt & pepper to taste
Boil your Eggs - St aside and let Cool enough you can peel them . Then they need to be cut in half lengthwise,
Scoop out inside and mix with other ingredients . Place this back inside the Egg halves and sprinkle with Paprika or green onion tops for decorations.
