Homemade Southern Divinity Candy

Its National Candy Day 

Divinity Candy 

  • 2  2/3  C Sugar
  • 2/3 C     Karo (white corn syrup)
  • 1/2 C   Water
  • 2  Egg    Whites only
  • 1  tsp vanilla
  • Nuts chopped fine 
In a saucepan over Low heat  dissolve the sugar, water and Karo syrup. Cook until 200 degrees (soft ball) .  take off stove . Beat eggs white until fluffy and Add  to syrup mixture .Add  vanilla and the nuts. Butter a Spoon and drop of spoonful on wax paper to Cool and set up.
