Shrimp Etouffee



 Shrimp Etouffee : Taste of Louisiana 










  • 1 1/2 T shortening
  • 2 bell peppers chopped
  • 2 onions/ chopped
  • 1 rib celery chopped
  • 1 clove garlic /chopped
  • 2 lb shrimp cleaned
  • 2 T tomato paste
  • Saute seasoning in shortening until soft. Toss in shrimp and cook until pink. Add tomato paste and season to taste. Simmer about 10 minutes and add a little water if needed. Serve over Rice,
