Crab and Mushroom Quiche :


Crab and Mushroom Quiche : 









  • 2 unbaked pie shells
  • 1 C shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 C mushroom  sauteed in butter
  • 1 LB Crab meat 
  • 4 Eggs beaten
  • 2 C half/half
  • 1/2 C minced onion 
  • 1 tsp salt 
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
Drain crabmeat -add cheese and mushroom together and place in bottom of pie shells. In a bowl mix Eggs,half/half,onion and seasoning. Pour egg mixture over Crab meat in pie shells, Bale at 400 for 15 minutes then lower to 300 for 30 minutes until done, Let stand 20=25 minutes until serving.  


This Quiche is perfect for a lady's brunch or  a Sunday dinner.  Perfect with a side salad  this is quick and easy to make. Lisa 








Kitchen Tips : 

You can place albumin foil around crust edges to keep from burning. 

Test center of quiche - The Knife Test :  for doneness with a thin-bladed knife. Insert knife about 1 inch from the center of a one-dish quiche; midway between center and edge of cups. If knife is clean when pulled out, the quiche is done. If any quiche clings to the blade, bake a few minutes longer and test again

Cant get Crab Meat - you can substitute  other seafood or meat, Lisa
