Zucchini Bread Day !


Today's Recipe : 









  • 1 1/2 cups grated zucchini - lightly packed -do not drain liquid
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil -or your preferred cooking oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon


Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 9x5 inch loaf pan with cooking spray. 
In a large bowl, add the grated zucchini, sugar, brown sugar, applesauce, oil, eggs, and vanilla. Whisk until well combined.Add the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Stir just until no dry flour remains, trying not to over mix. Pour into prepared pan and bake for about 50 minutes or until down. Cool.

The brown pelican is a North American bird of the pelican family, Pelecanidae. It is one of three pelican species found in the Americas and one of two that feed by diving in water

Allen's hummingbird is a species of hummingbird. It is a small bird, with mature adults reaching only 3 to 3.5 in in length. The male has a green back and forehead, with rust-colored flanks, rump, and tail. The male's throat is an iridescent orange-red

Easter Ham * Orange glazed










  • 1 boneless cooked smoked ham
  • 1 C orange marmalade
  • 1 C orange juice
  • 1/4 C brown sugar
  • 2 T mustard
  • 1 tsp ground ginger 
Preheat oven to 350°.
Place ham in an aluminum foil-lined 13- x 9-inch pan
Stir together marmalade and next 4 ingredients; spoon mixture over ham.
Bake at 350° on lowest oven rack 1 hour and 30 minutes, basting with pan juices every 30 minutes. Remove ham from oven, and let stand 10 minutes before slicing.

Easy Deep Dish Pizza













1  refrigerated pizza crust
  •  2 1.2 cups of your favorite cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups pizza sauce
  • 1/3 C param sen cheese 
  • 1/2 lb spicy bulk Italian sausage 
  • Pepperoni slices 

Directions : 


  • 1Preheat oven to 425°F. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray or olive oil.Unroll the pizza dough, and press it into the bottom and halfway up sides of prepared baking dish.Spread the dough with some pizza sauce and, if using, sprinkle the cooked spicy Italian sausage over the top. Cover the pizza with cheese and then top with pepperoni (if using). Sprinkle the Parmesan over top.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes or until crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with more Parmesan if desired. Serve immediately.

Sour Cream Coffee Cake












My  Recipe : Sour  Cream Coffee Cake 
  • 1/2 C butter
  • 1 C sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 C  flour
  • 1  tsp  baking soda
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 C sour cream
Filling : 
  • 1/2 C chopped nuts
  • 1/2 C sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
Cream butter,add sugar,eggs and vanilla. mix with dry ingredients. Pour 1/2 batter in baking dish -add  1/2 of filling and pour the rest of the batter on top. Top with rest of the filling. Bake at 350 for 35 minutes.

Homemade Egg Dye : 


Dye the Eggs. Protect your work area with paper towels or newspaper. Mix 1 teaspoon of vinegar and 20 drops of food coloring (use more to intensify color) in 1 cup of hot water in a heatproof bowl, cup, or jar deep enough to let you submerge an egg completely. To create different tints, vary the dipping time.

Peanut Butter and Jelly Bars













  • Nonstick vegetable oil spray
  • 1 1/2 cups unbleached all purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3/4 cup smooth peanut butter
  • 3/4 cup (packed) golden brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup grape jelly or other jelly or jam
  • 2/3 cup coarsely chopped salted dry-roasted peanuts


  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Line 8x8x2-inch metal baking pan with heavy-duty foil, leaving 2-inch overhang around edges and pressing firmly into corners and up sides of pan. Coat foil with nonstick spray. Whisk flour, baking powder, and 1/4 teaspoon salt in small bowl. Using electric mixer, beat peanut butter, sugar, and butter in large bowl until smooth. Add egg and vanilla; beat on low speed until smooth. Add flour mixture; beat on low speed just to blend. Transfer half of dough to prepared pan (about scant 1 1/2 cups). Place remaining dough in freezer for 10 minutes. Using fingertips, press dough evenly onto bottom of pan. Spread jelly over in even layer. Remove dough from freezer; using fingertips, break into grape-size pieces and scatter over jelly layer. Sprinkle chopped nuts over.
  • Bake bars until top is golden brown, about 30 minutes. Cool bars completely in pan on rack.

Sourdough Bread Day!!!

















  1. In a very large bowl, mix starter, water and 3 cups of whole wheat flour with a wooden spoon and combine well.
  2. Add salt and remaining flour ½ cup at a time, attempting to completely stir in the flour with each addition. When you can no longer mix with a spoon, use your hands to mix in the flour. Continue adding flour until your dough begins to resemble dough, but is still sticky and "pourable."
  3. Pour dough into large loaf pans and fill ⅓ way up. Cover with a towel and allow to sit in a warm place for 4-12 hours, until the dough is at least doubled in size and looks to be "domed" on top.
  4. Place loaves in a cold oven and turn the oven on to 350 degrees. Bake bread for 50-60 minutes, until the edges are golden and the bottom sounds hollow when tapped.
  5. Remove to cool on wire racks for at least 30 minutes. Makes 2-3 loaves, depending on the amount of flour used and size of loaf pans.
