Bible Journal : Deborah

 Wednesday Bible Journaling :

And the next Women of Faith in the Bible is :  Deborah

Deborah (Hebrew: דְבוֹרָה‎) is a feminine given name derived from דבורה D'vorah, aHebrew word meaning "bee."
Deborah was a heroine and prophetess in the Old Testament Book of Judges. She is  the fourth Judge of pre-monarchic Israel and the only female judge mentioned in the Bible, and the wife of Lapidoth..

My page is done in colored pencils showing Deborah sitting  under the palm trees.  I love that in the bible she is the only female judge and  also a wife. A modern women in ancient time that had it all . A prophet of God, a Judge and a wife.   Lisa

Judges  4 : 4-6
Now Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth, was judging Israel at that time. She used to sit under the palm of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in the hill country of Ephraim, and the people of Israel came up to her for judgment.
